Grow, Cook and Eat

The Grow, Cook And Eat Together Project is designed to make a lasting impact. Over the course of one year, we will collaborate with a network of local partners to ensure that our message reaches every corner of the community. By working closely with the Leicester City Council, ward councillors, community support agencies, schools, youth centres, libraries, and doctors' surgeries, we can create a united front against food insecurity.

Our dedicated team operates from our local community centre, where we prepare and distribute meals that bring hope and sustenance to those in need. Thanks to the generosity of our network of food banks and our long-standing partnership with FareShare, we have a steady supply of donated food. Our experienced catering staff, with nine years of successful project delivery in three deprived communities, bring expertise and compassion to every meal.

We've witnessed the transformational power of this project in action. By extending our support to local churches, we've nourished and uplifted individuals facing mental health challenges, addiction, and poverty. Together, we've built a community where everyone has a role to play. Former recipients of our aid have even joined us as volunteers, paying it forward and making a difference in the lives of others.

Join us today on this incredible journey of growth, cooking, and eating together. Visit our website to learn more about our mission, get involved, or make a donation. Together, we can ensure that no one in our community goes to bed hungry or feels alone.

Let's nourish our community, one meal at a time. Together, we can make a lasting difference.
Welcome to the Grow, Cook And Eat Together Project: Nourishing Our Community, One Meal at a Time!
residing in the Eyres Monsell estate, a disadvantaged area in Leicester.
At Community Mind Matters, we believe that no one should go to bed hungry. That's why we've launched the Grow, Cook And Eat Together Project—a heartfelt community support initiative aimed at providing nutritious meals to food-insecure individuals residing in the Eyres Monsell estate, a disadvantaged area in Leicester.
The rising cost of living has left many members of our community struggling to make ends meet, resulting in food poverty, frequent visits to food banks, and days without proper meals. We saw the need for change, and that's where the Grow Cook and Eat project stepped in.
Our project not only offers freshly cooked meals to those in need but also creates a space for meaningful connections to flourish. By gathering together, individuals can escape the confines of their homes, while simultaneously conserving energy. It's a win-win situation that fosters new friendships, improves well-being, and reduces isolation.
